As an Assistant Scheme Manager, I assisted in the management of administrative tasks, such as maintaining resident records, tracking medication administration, and managing schedules for staff and residents. I also participated in the budgeting process and resource allocation to both Agency and Permanent staff at Sonnet Court. I served as a primary point of contact for residents and their families, addressing their concerns and facilitating open communication. I played a key role in resolving any issues that arose and ensuring that resident preferences and needs were met. Moreover, I worked in collaboration with the Service Manager, I participated in emergency response planning and procedures to ensure the safety and well-being of residents during crises and critical situations. I have also been on call to not only Sonnet Court, but an additional 3 other services that do not have a manager in place to be on call. I provided direct support to residents when Sonnet Court has been short on staffing levels, assisting with their daily living activities, including personal care, medication management, and emotional support. I maintained a compassionate and empathetic approach to create a safe and caring environment.
I have learned an exrtodinary amount of skills through the NVQ Level 3 process with Paragon, and my assessor has been extremely helpful in my expansion of knowledge. I do not feel my company has supported me in my journey of learning new skills.
