on a day to day basis I give personal care to the residents and administer medication I give them bathes and I am there for them to have someone to talk to I help them with whatever they need I complete their personal care thought the day and I serve them with food and fluids throughout the day towards the end of the day I Gert them ready for bed and then create a handover to display to the night shift tansy how they have been through the day. all together I make sure I am there whenever they nee me to be to have a chat and I assist them in any way possible that I can
I have learned many new skills we have had a first aid training course so now I know how to treat minor injuries to the residents cuts to bleeds to grazes and burns and many other major need to knows like CPR I have learned how to read the feeling of non comus mantis residents and plenty of skills I am looking forward to lean more skills from paragon and my colleagues
I love my programme it has opened me up to learning lots of new abilities and it has trained me through start to finish I have had online Meeting with lots of people from the same position and job as me and we have shared experiences and knowlege and it has helped so much
the programme is well structured the first time I used it I was shown around by my tutor and since I worked my way round the surface I have been able to complete my objectives snd my tasks after I have completed my tasks my tutor sets up a meeting with me to discuss my work completions and then we set up another work shop for me to talk to some of my other work colleagues
my employer is in full support they would help wherever I need them they would offer me as much supports as needed and they have offered me some support my employer offers me extra support by setting some extra corses to do to try and help me improve my knowledge for the quizzes I get set
I receive lots of support from my training provider especially my tutor I get calls from her every few days just checking up on me to see home I am progressing and if there is anything she an help with and we have s little walk through the assign meets to see if there is anything that she can help me with
it makes me feel very good because I am leaning new skills everyday and they really do help in the daily work life because I can put these skills into practice and it makes me preform better because I am more knowledgeable and can use these skills throughout the day to support the people I am caring for
no sadly there isn't any extra curricular activity's that I can take part it it would be nice if there was but there isn't

because I love my job being able to care for someone is just something incredible because your giving back to society and the feeling of being able to care and look after someones loved one is unbelievable the amount of gratitude you get off them is heart breaking I love my job sometimes it is tough but we have to think aboutnthe elderly people we are looking after and that they deserve from us
try your best to set a good impression be kind make sure you have a tough stomach and just be a caring person
