Service manager for the National Diabetes Prevention programme in Greater Manchester. The service is commissioned by NHSE therefore my role involves stakeholder management, referral generation, customer satisfaction, managing a team of coaches to deliver a quality service, operational management of programmes.
Yes definitely learnt new skills around the different leadership models and theory and how to use practically in my role. I have developed and refined project management skills and been able to implement business development tools to enhance the work that I am currently doing
Really enjoyed the programme, however it has been challenging alongside an already demanding role
Extremely well structured, based around self awareness, emotional intelligence and developing a personal development plan. Then moving into the content of the apprenticeship - leadership, relationship building, communication, finance, project and operational management. The type of learning varied as well, using workbook, webinars, assignments, tasks and projects throughout.
Limited support from employer, although it was discussed in my monthly performance review. Time was allocated for me to manage my workload, although the majority has been completed in my own time due to my role and workload associated with this.
Excellent support from my personal tutor who was excellent with communication, catch ups and progress review meetings.
The qualification has enhanced my learning and I have been able to implement skills, knowledge and behaviours that I have learned on my apprenticeship in my day to day role.
Christmas and Summer events where the remote team gather for away days.
Yes
It's a great place to work. The development of team members is a priority and to be given the opportunity to complete this qualification is massive. The values are clear and are instilled into the culture of the organisation which is strong
Go for it, it's a great place to work
