dealing with paperwork - invoicing and filing. handling various customer enquires, which may require ordering parts (external/internal), quotes and returns/credits. general housekeeping and ensuring stock is put away correctly.
I have learnt about new systems and various sales techniques. how to assist someone who may have a budget and possible ways to secure sales. retrained in stock taking. parts terminology and what they may look like.
i am doing something new everyday and figuring out new ways to do the same tasks. the role doesn't require me to be contained to a desk all day which is a main factor for me
every now and again I find myself not doing much and having to find things to do alone and majority of the time it may just be general house keeping which are days where I feel like I should be learning or going over things we have barely covered. I've only just recently got my desktop set up to which I do not have all the relevant systems available. no phone system to attempt taking messages or helping customers and getting into the routine.
from those I see day to day, I get a lot of support. they are very encouraging and everyone is always willing to give a lending hand. they are patient and always ask on what's the best way to support me and tailoring to my needs. and when something is urgent and needed to be completely quickly they get everything back on track without being condesending
currently, they have been helpful with any enquires. however I do feel like there's wasn't enough communication at one point but all was recovered
i believe i struggle sometimes taking direct instructions and i need a little more of an explanation. with these teaching sessions its helping with the understanding to why and how tasks can be done differently. also it helps me to remember tasks by recalling scenarios and by going over it repeatedly allows me to do things as second nature. however i have only had a few teams calls so i feel i dont have much to reflect on.
ive not really heard much about any activities so i could neither agree or disagree
Yes
so far I've come across various individuals and they have all been welcoming, kind, understanding and persevered with me. its a great atmosphere and the training scheme is solid. I've enjoyed my few months here and its opened up the industry and all the different roles responsibilities etc.
if it interests you and you are willing to put in the work and the effort go for it. its a very diverse company and various roles which may overlap. gives you a great insight into the industry and there is amazing benefits and opportunities.
