As the Deputy Manager I work closely with the Nursery Manager to oversee all aspects of nursery operations. This includes helping to develop and implement policies and procedures, managing staff, and maintaining high-quality standards of care. My role is a hands-on role in providing childcare and early education to children in the nursery. They may lead activities, monitor children's development, and ensure that all activities are in line with the nursery's curriculum and policies.
I have built on existing skills of how to effectively lead and manage teams within an early years setting. I am deepening my understanding of child development theories and practices, enabling myself to create developmentally appropriate learning experiences and environments for children. Expanding my knowledge in developing skills in creating inclusive environments that celebrate diversity and support the needs of all children, including those with special educational needs and disabilities.
I am thoroughly enjoying my experience at level 5; I have noticed a growth in both my confidence and skills as I progress through my studies. I particularly like the professional discussions and the debates during the webinars. I feel well-supported and encouraged, with my tutor continuously offering ideas and additional reading to assist me.
The course is well-organised with information presented promptly, making it easier for learners. My tutor has been responsive and readily available to help whenever needed.
My tutor at Realise provides excellent support for my course, and my employer supplies me with reading materials as required.
My course at Realise is greatly supported by my tutor. I feel confident and have gained valuable experience under their guidance. Additionally, they have fostered a strong sense of community among us learners, leading to fantastic discussions and communication within our group.

There are limited activities available at my workplace. I feel that the working hours make it difficult to participate in extracurricular activities. However, they do try to promote wellbeing activities twice a year.
Yes
I would recommend Realise to friends and colleagues as I have felt supported and have grown both professionally and personally. I believe it has benefitted my career progression at work and has also been a highlight for my teaching methods and the support I provide to the children in my care.
In order to fully engage with the course content and make the most of what's being offered, it's important for participants to be prepared.
