  • On Mondays I do BTEC and the rest of the week I do engineering rotations.

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • I have learned how to operate machinery like a lathe and mill. I have also learned how to stick weld and developed my communication skills through reports. I also learnt fluid power.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I very much enjoy learning the new rotations because they are more practical to what I'm used to.

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • I think that the apprenticeship is well structured because of the rotations which change on a frequent basis, meaning that there is rarely any time were I don't have any work to complete.

  • I believe I receive plenty of support from my employer.

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • The support really depends on what rotation is being taught as different teachers have different views on teaching when it comes to assessments and tasks.

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • I believe that the rotations I go through at the training school benefit my role heavily as the rotations all focus on a aspect of my why work in the future.

  • There is a newsletter team and charity champions.

  • Yes


  • 9b. Why?
  • I think that it is very enjoyable to work on a more practical basis which I know that most people my age are looking for, coming out of a school and paper work centered environment.


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to BMW Group?
  • Start the paperwork as soon as possible so that you have enough time to complete it before the set deadline.
