On a day-to-day basis you will either be studying at university as a full-time student studying Software Engineering at Queen's University Belfast or during the summers of Year 1 and Year 2, and during your placement year you will be working within PwC on technology-focused roles
I have expanded my technology skillset and interpersonal skills which is highly beneficial for a workplace environment
I highly enjoy the program, being able to earn-as-you-learn has enabled me to study at university debt-free whilst gaining industry experience. Additionally both PwC and QUB offer many social oppotunities such as sports clubs and societies
The programme is well organised and has a clear structure from the beginning. There is a dedicated team to look after the program
There are many avenues of support in the programme. Everyone has a buddy, a career coach and the programme team on hand to help them. Not to mention all the other apprentices who support eachother
QUB provide a great amount of academic support
QUB have up-skilled my technical capabilities which allow me to join project team's in PwC and provide meaningful work.
There are plenty of extra-curricular activities. The main source of this is from QUB who have all their sports clubs and societies on offer, additionally due to apprenticeship you can have some disposable income to open up these opportunities. The apprentices also have their own social network where they organise several socials throughout the year - all funded by PwC.
Yes
It is a once in a life time opportunity to gain both academic and industry experience whilst earning a wage and being debt free
