I produce IT designs, configurations, and input into solutions proposals. I also work with other technical team members to understand, scope and document customers' business and technical requirements. Once a week, I focus on my apprenticeship work, such as studying for a cert, or my project.
Yes, I have learnt a multitude of technical skills, such as the basics of server building, print management, virtualisation, etc. The apprenticeship has also developed existing skills such as communication, networking, etc.
I'm very much enjoying the programme, mostly as everyone I work with is wonderful, making it much easier to frequently come in.
Firebrand have provided a fantastic structure to my programme, with key points mapped out on a timeline.
I receive more than enough support. As an apprentice, everyone is willing and happy to go above and beyond to help me out with any work or inquiries I may have.
As much as I need. My learning mentor is always available to provide whatever support I need.
My qualification matches up very well with my role, as I am in a technical role with a technical qualification.
While there are a wide range of extra-curricular activities my work offers, I don't personally interact with them. However. I have done volunteering work on behalf of the company.
Yes
While I would only recommend Softcat to a friend with a passion/interest for IT, it is a phenomenal place to work with an unbeatable culture.
Come in with a positive mindset and a passion for technology, and you'll do great :)
