my role as an International finance apprentice encompasses VAT returns, various reports on accounts to help with key financial analysis and bank reconciliations. On a day to day basis I will be completing my tasks as well as supporting my team and the wider Finance team.
I have learnt how to use excel efficiently. I have developed my time management skills greatly involving managing my inbox and various techniques such as eating the frog. I have developed my resilience as well as my social skills. I also understand more about business, and have improved my presentation skills.
I enjoy it very much. If it was not for the limited advantages of a level 3 programme it would seem like the perfect programme to me. The group cohorts are very descriptive and I gain a lot from these sessions.
Very well organised, meetings are booked well in advanced with recurring dates.
A lot, my line manager supports me on a day to day basis by asking me questions about how I am doing. My employee regularly increases my workload to push my limits. If I have any questions they are more then happy to answer.
They provide more then enough support. They answer my questions and prompt ideas when necessary during reviews. They have been of the upmost support and I cannot thank them enough.
To be honest the qualification has limited benefits for my role, however it helps me to understand the whole business more as a whole and therefore gives me a more comprehensive perspective of the business around me and how my role ties into it. Other then that, it has helped me to become more sociable, present better and manage my time and workload better which makes me more efficient at my role.
Yes, I get involved in football and I have signed up for a tough Mudder which they have kindly given me a discount for.
Yes
It is the best place to work. Everyone is so nice, optimistic and supportive. I could not recommend or justify why enough.
Try and be yourself on the interview. Come in prepared, optimistic and really want it. Because you should want the job here. It is amazing.
