Role in placement, exploring the tasks which I could potentially be carrying out in a future job role. This includes a wide range of activities from planning to headcount tracking to CAD.
Yes, within placement I have obtained many new skills which I didn't have prior to beginning the apprenticeship.
The placement work would receive a solid 10/10. However, we are doing a foundation degree weekly which is poorly run and not enjoyable so this decreases the score.
There have been issues with getting placements for me and planning these accordingly. However, within placement the structure has been good. Organisation of the uni work is poor.
From BMW I receive a high level of support and I find they are more than willing to hear my problems and help to fix them.
Support here is low, we have made a large amount of complaints regarding factors of the apprenticeship and they are only now (2 years in) beginning to be rectified. The changes will positively benefit the years to come but we feel we have not been greatly supported.
It may become more useful in the future but so far the learning which i have taken from college to the workplace has been limited.

It is a highly beneficial apprenticeship which ends in you getting a degree and the working opportunities are highly enjoyable.
Be prepared to have some issues regarding the training provider. BMW as an employer is great to work for though and makes working very enjoyable.
