  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • On a day to day basis my role can involve performing analysis on dealership and vehicle sales performance and also looking at customer demographics and feedback from recent buyers on their experiences and then deciding with my team possible business actions to take based on our discoveries.

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • On my university course and in the workplace my python, R and stats skills have developed a lot since September. Later on I expect to learn SQL and other more advanced data science skills.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I really enjoy my programme. The people at this company are extremely kind and supportive in and outside of the workplace. There are plenty of extracurricular activities. and events to participate in to meet new people and have fun.

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • The programme is extremely well structured. At this point I have a clear, scheduled work week and also a balance with my university timetable and workload. I am given plenty of time to complete my university task but I am not neglected at work either and I feel like a real part of my team.

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • I receive plenty of support from my employer when it comes to training, feedback and work based and personal development. I never feel nervous to reach out to my manager, colleagues or apprentices in the year above to ask for help and guidance.

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • My training provider is extremely helpful to me. I have a personal tutor who is always on standby to grant me assistance when I require it. The course materials are also very comprehensive.

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • My course is very interlinked with my job role, even more so than others on my course after having spoke to them. As a result I find that skills I learn one week at university are used the next week at work or vice versa.

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • Yes! There is a football and cricket team that train every week after work (when the daylight is present). There is also basketball, volleyball and netball available. All abilities are welcome. In terms of networking events there are staff conferences and away days for different divisions and also apprentice and grad events that are held.

  • Yes

  • The company culture and people are extremely kind and inclusive. The office itself is very modern and eco friendly and there are generous staff benefits.


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Toyota GB?
  • Do your research on the company's history and culture and be yourself in any applications or interviews you may have. Also any background knowledge for your respective field is valued but any experience is general is beneficial.
