  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • Day to day, my role involves supporting the team across multiple marketing channels. I work to create, edit built and send marketing campaigns to our audience, delivering key seasonal messages throughout the year. I work predominantly digital channels, however I also now work on an offline strategy involving events and gifting campaigns

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • I have developed many skills in this time, with a key one being stakeholder management. Working within such a big team and organisation means I work with new colleagues everyday across different projects, and this has been something I've been keen to continually develop. I also develop (and continue to develop) my presentation skills as this is something I previously have not been keen on doing. By building my confidence in my skills/work, I have become more confident and comfortable presenting to smaller groups

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I really enjoy the office side of my role, however there have been challenges on the college side which have slightly diminished the experience. Overall, it has been a great programme so far and Sage were great supporting me and the other apprentices on my programme through the challenges we encountered.

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • The college side was less structured than thought due to changes on their side, however in the workplace the structure is great. Despite changes in the business, my team ensure I am clear on the structure of the team, as well as wider teams I may work with and their responsibilities.

We have constant development conversations and identify opportunities where I can learn a new skill or develop an existing one. As well as this, my team approach me with opportunities they believe may help me develop, and work with me to ensure I am comfortable completing the task.

  • I receive resources and meetings with my provider regularly at the moment while covering my assessment period, and during my entire programme I have received support in some capacity. While at times it hasn't been the best, its improved following feedback from us which has been beneficial as my programme has continued.
