My role consists of supporting and running project that benefit the immediate TGB team and our retail partners. Each day can vary from coordinating stakeholders for projects, to producing visual and detailed reports for key data metrics.
I have learned many new skills such as gathering and reporting out data in visual ways, using excel, presenting, how to communicate with different stakeholders, project management principles/practices and many more.
i really enjoy my programme. It gives me enough time to develop myself in the professional world as well as balancing my university studies. I am given lots of flexibility as well as many opportunities most people simply wont get to experience.
My programme is well structured and still allows the flexibility for challenges or unforeseen circumstances. I usually work at TGB Monday - Thursday and use Friday as my day to complete my university work, however this "uni day" is flexible and can be moved depending on what I have going on that week.
I have received loads of support throughout my time with TGB. From numerous training sessions that have helped my professional growth and mindset to direct support my manager and colleagues. Everyone I have encountered is always happy to support me with anything I do. Furthermore I am also aware of further support that is offered to those who may need it, amplifying the friendly and supportive culture that is imbedded throughout TGB.
My training provider offers plenty of academic and personal support. There are regular check ins to keep track of progress, development and general well being. On top of this there are plenty of resources that the training provider offers to maximise my academic development, from one to one tutoring and a plethora of self service resources.
I have seen a direct correlation to what I learn while studying for my professional qualification, to the work I complete and vice versa. I can confidently say that through the combined approach of university and actually doing the job that I can learn and apply practices much faster, which has and will help my further professional and academic development.
There are loads of extra-curricular activities to get involved in at TGB. TGB offers a sports & social group where there are regular events to blow off steam and make new friends. These can range from weekly football games, to evenings out with colleagues, go-karting and many many more opportunities.
Yes
With everything that Toyota offers in terms of a fantastic company culture, endless opportunities for development, a fantastic benefits package and being in a sector that is always changing and innovating, it seems like a no brainer not to work at TGB. If your looking for the above and really want to be somewhere that will support you achieve the potential you dont you have yet, look no further.
When applying for Toyota I think its vital to be yourself. They look for enthusiastic and passionate people who want to grow and always improve. Having top grades is nice but not everything. Do your research, and show an attitude that says I can work well in a team, and that you are genuinely excited about where and who you are applying for.
