I assist the design lead in the delivery of Highways projects, designing on CAD Softwares.
Yes, CAD Skills but not much from college
The job is very enjoyable, the college on the other hand is poor.
Very poor, things are badly communicated, the teacher doesn't ever know what to teach or what we have learned and the college is generally abysmally organised. No exam revision book provided.
Great, had to provide exam books as college didn't want anything to do with it which is bad considering they run the course. Support has been great from the employer and we have completed practice projects in prep for the exam.
None, practically non-existent. I've received no support at all and barely been taught let alone supported.
It doesn't at all, I work in highways and all college work is buildings and structures so isn't related.
With work yes, plenty of socials and activities to do. Nothing that I'm interested in provided by the college
No
Our teacher doesn't seem to care about the progression of the students and is really out of his depth. He asks the students the answers to his own question and doesn't seem too interested in teaching relevant info. We are 2 weeks from exams and I feel I've learned nothing of note to help me for exams. Would recommend friends to avoid LSP.
Find a different provider to carry out the course.
