For my role, i use our BMS system to get up customers information that i need i will then call customers if needed to either book them in or out, i also send google reviews to customers that have had their cars back for two days to make sure they are all happy with the repairs to their vehicle, i also update our bored with booking in and outs to ensure our transport controller knows everything that is going on. in the afternoons i will help with the truck invoicing and any other tasks my colleagues might need help with.
i have developed my confidence skill by working with DLG as i had to make sure that i was comfortable talking on the phone to customers around my peers this took a bit of getting used to but once i had achieved this it is now something i do naturally.
i am really enjoying what i am doing at the moment with both DLG and LSP, i'm the type of person who learns stuff better by doing it physically but with this apprenticeship it allows me to have all the know,l.edge and be able to put it into my work at the same time which has definitely bettered me and my work.
it is very well structured as it allows me to have teaching sessions with my tutor which are planned, and then gives me time to complete an assignment to show off my knowledge that i have learned but also gives me enough time to still learn new things within my work environment.
i receive good support from my employer as my line manager is always there for me to ask questions to during the day and they also have conversations with me to let me know what i'm doing well and what i need to work on with my tutor as well when we have our 8 weekly review.
My tutor always replies to my emails if i ask for help and once i have completed the assignment for the month i will send this off to my tutor who will come back to me with feedback if there is anything to change or just feedback in general to make sure that i can continue to adapt my work both in and out of the workplace.
For someone who did not really want to go to university when i finished sixth form i was looking for my first time job so i had very basic knowledge so having this qualification enables me to perform better in my role as it allows me to learn both mentally and physically.
at work sometimes we arrange nights out and some of these i have attended such as a Christmas meal.
Yes
as it has given me a great opportunity since leaving education.
to just be yourself and focus on better yourself both professionally and personally.
