Depending on the unit being studied, my day consists of different engineering activities such as soldering, bench work and electronic maintenance. This includes using hand fitting techniques such as filing or sawing.
I have learnt how to saw and file metal to a tolerance as well as learning new equations which relate to electronic activities.
I very much enjoy this programme as I am able to learn a variety of different practical and theoretical things.
The organisation is to a good standard.
We are always kept up to date and know who to go to if ever in doubt.
There is a good amount of support with qualifications.
I have learnt how to do various techniques which will be useful once back at work.
