Every day we get into work and normally start the day off with a huddle then after this we then go on the phones where we will help customer with any issues they may be having on sage 50 payroll, we then break for lunch roughly 12 or 1 o'clock after lunch we then go back on the phones and continue helping customers some days we have self dev or apprentice time.
Yeah learnt many new skills such as call control and new vocab to use on the phones with customers and learnt many new skills for using a computer such as little shortcuts and learnt how to use sage 50 payroll which is a very big programme.
I really enjoy every day at Sage, everyone is friendly and very supportive and there is help if you need it, Sage is organized and knows how to take care off all members of staff which makes the programme better and more enjoyable.
Sage is organised and the programme that I am doing is very structured and we know what needs to be done despite it being a 2 year course, we have set days for apprentice work which really helps us manage and complete the work set by us.
When I need support and ask for it, it can take a week or so to get the support but it can vary as payroll was busy when I asked for support on a topic I was unsure on but in the end I got the support needed and now feel confident with that topic.
We receive a lot of training to help us meet our qualifications for example on the set days for apprentice work we have our trainer who is there to help us for any questions we may have on the work that is set for us, my manager also helps me if the trainer isn't there to help me with any questions I may have on the work.
I feel confident with my training provider as the trainer we have has high expectations which I really like as this allows us to make sure we pass the course as the work is at a high standard.
Haven't heard of any activities at Sage, but we do have a football team which was created by the technicians on payroll which I get involved on but not one set by Sage.
Yes
Great place to work at and is very friendly
be yourself and don't be shy, yes Sage is well known but the people you may speak to were in your shoes at once so just be yourself and you will smash it!
