  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • answering calls to customers who are encountering an issue in the payroll system that sage offer, then helping them fix it.

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • yes. i would say iv learnt good skills with communicating and listening. which are used in everyday thing as well as at work. also skills with payroll and things within it that I didn't know before I started working here.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • i enjoy coming into work and seeing everyone. and then the days are different everyday as we talk to many different people which is exiting.

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • It is well structured as there is a specific days set out for us and we know exactly what we need to do during the day/week. there is also apprentice time and self development set out for us.

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • as much as we need. the first few months we have a coach with us specifically. then they gradually start to separate. but if we need more then we just need to ask.

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • quite a bit. there is always someone to ask and they always answer if there are any questions about the work. we are also then able to contact them VIA message or email and ask the questions that we need answers to.

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • learning about the legislations in the UK and how they link into sage and how or core values fit into these legislation.

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • yes. there are plenty of networking events and there is also football activities with people from work.

  • Yes

  • because I'm enjoying my experience so they will as well. and what's better than working with a friend


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Sage?
  • Listen. don't be stressed. and just take it as it comes. this is the best way of doing it as all the knowledge you need comes automatically as you are there for longer.
