Usually on a day to day basis, it will consist on liaising with the audit manager on tasks that need to be done such as fieldwork testing, communicating with the client or helping out other team members on work they are performing
My communication skills have definitely improved, especially with having to talk to clients and snr management. I think I've also become more organised especially with juggling a lot of work with different priority levels.
I enjoy it a lot, it is challenging at times and can be hard work but the knowledge, relationships and skills you build in the job trump it.
It is very organised, the early careers team have done a very good job in ensuring everyone knows what they need to get done and when and are always there to help if there are any queries
A lot, there are so many people you can go to when you need help. Going up the ladder from assistant managers to even partners. Everyone is really helpful and approachable.
They are very quick to respond when you have a query and are very accommodating.
The basis of my qualification really helps my job as it gives me a good foundation and the work i do on a daily basis allows me to build upon it in a real life situation.
There are many societies to join, ranging from badminton and netball to chess club or other networking groups, such as LGBTQ+ network, Muslim network etc
Yes
I have met such lovely people here that I would consider friends. It is also very diverse which shows how progressive they are. The work is challenging but is also rewarding at the same time, and hard work doesn't go unnoticed.
Be personable, be friendly and do you background research to make sure it is somewhere you really want to work in terms of the company and the industry
