  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • I work in the audit department. My day to day involves meetings with team members on client engagements. We work closely in teams to complete all audit procedures by splitting up sections in the financial statements. My role is to test balances that appear in the financial statements and verify that these transactions are true and fair. We do this by talking to the financial controllers of entities and asking questions and for further documents to support transactions.

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • We have lots of training for the qualifications. We get sent out to college providers and learn the content relevant to the exam we are about to take. We then take the exam roughly 3 weeks after the course so we have our own study time to get ready for the exam in between our normal working hours.
