I review financial statements to identify material misstatements. This involves processing samples, testing balances and collaborating with other members of the audit team and clients on a regular basis.
My IT skills have greatly enhanced over time, particularly on excel. I have developed new knowledge of audit procedure and accounting both through exposure in the work place and through undertaking the ACA qualification.
I am really enjoying my experience. As much as the ACA exams are stressful and deadlines can be quite strict, the workplace is really supportive and in general all staff members are a pleasure to work with.
The programme is relatively well structured. It was communicated with us at the start the expectations at each level and the pathway you are on to sit exams. More regular updates could be beneficial in this sense but overall it is still good
My employer is really supportive. An example of this is during the prior year I had some health issues with my neck which influenced my work and studies. My employer put in many measures which helped me to resolve this issue which I am very appreciative of.
BPP are very good at providing a tried and tested pathway in how to get through your exams. From my experience if you follow their advice, the exams are very passable.
The accounting and audit knowledge I have developed from my exams has been very applicable to my daily role. i have felt a lot more comfortable in discussing with clients how items should be treated.
Yes out work place puts on many social events which seem to have a great impact on the workplace. There are also numerous sports teams and societies within work.
Yes
Its a great place to work and has a very established reputation which is evident when you see the quality of the work that is produced
Be yourself, Mazars has a big emphasis on employing people who meet its values. the interview almost feels less formal than other work places
