I am currently based within the Early Careers team, my day to day tasks consist of a range of different and fun activities. I have been involved in exciting projects such as the UK Apprentice Awards event and two Partnership conferences, this has helped me network with people internally/externally.
I feel like i have developed existing skills and learnt some new skills, especially with the outward bound activity, we got the opportunity to experience. I have pushed myself out of my comfort zone over the past two years and this has really helped me learn and develop different skills.
I enjoy the structure of the apprenticeship, experiencing different teams and meeting new people. I've had the opportunity to work with a range of people and still talk to colleagues from the past!
The programme is well structured and the skills coaches help ensure we are all on task and up to date. Regular workshops, off the job days and learner progress reviews allow them to pass on vital information to ensure we are on track to pass the apprenticeship.
Maximum support, the off the job sessions are delivered internally and the skills coaches are always happy to help. We have been given the opportunity to do Outward Bounds which has allowed us to develop our Knowledge, skills and behaviours.
Maximum support, we can contact them at anytime and they are always happy to help.
A lot of the delivery we have received is relevant to the day to day work we complete, such as understanding the BAE Systems way of working and the policies/ Relevant relegations set out.
There are networking opportunities set up, which we find out about when the BASS magazine is sent out, such as collaboration events and competitive events such as quizzes.

BAE is a great company to work for, they look after you and go above and beyond to help apprentices improve their knowledge, skills and behaviours. I'm glad i got an apprenticeship at BAE Systems and hope to stay with the company for a long time.
Have an idea of the BAE Systems company behaviours and think about how you have demonstrated the behaviours.
