  • I have year long placements in different areas of the business as a PM and complete a degree at the same time, of which is 4 years long, with an EPA at the end.

  • I have been given a number of opportunities, to speak with senior management, as well as the opportunity to travel with work.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I think there are a number of opportunities that are provided to you as an apprentice, however I do think the amount of opportunities is based off you team and you finding this for yourself.

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • I think it is well structured, however there are a lot of different teams in early careers and sometimes it can be difficult to distinguish who to go to when.

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • I feel there is ample support if you need it.

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • I do feel that there are a few areas of improvement with the training provider, with inconsistency with marking and teaching, as well as contradicting statements.

  • I feel there is some knowledge that is valuable to the role of a PM.

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • Yes I believe so, however they are not communicated very well.

  • 9a. Would you recommend BAE Systems to a friend?
  • Yes


  • 9b. Why?
  • They support you to progress through the business, there are a number of incentives to work harder and there is ample support if you need it.


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to BAE Systems?
  • Find out what BAE is really about, not necessarily the exact work, but look at the values and make sure this is drilled down into your answers.
