Involves managing month end processes, working with the team to meet the deadline for General ledger close and other reporting deadlines, also supporting ad-hoc tasks.
Yes have developed my confidence to have meetings with senior level colleagues, also showing scepticism in the work I do more now.
There are some areas which are difficult to adjust to such as the work/study/life balance, however have been surrounded by a supporting line manager and the team.
It is well structured and have had plenty of study days off for each exam, which has really supported in times where I felt I need more time to focus on study, especially transitioning from university where it is full time studying.
My line manager has been really supportive and also inputted being open and honest about the apprenticeship skills scan, by making me aware that not all skills have been met when the last exam is within a month. This then enabled conversations with my apprenticeship supervisor to what action can be taken.
My supervisor has been really supportive, with timely responses by message, emails and calls. I did find the tutors at First Intuition vary with each exam, therefore the level of support also varied. However when faced with a less supportive/ unresponsive tutor for after class materials or feedback on marked answers, they were able to source another tutor who were helpful.
The qualification through apprenticeship has really accelerated my learning and enabled myself to complete my qualification at a faster rate than without being on it.
Volunteering events, summer networking events
Yes
I have had 3 line managers whilst being here and all 3 have been really supportive and open with the feedback they provide, also taking interest and consideration that I am on a apprenticeship too.
Be yourself, find areas where you can relate to the company, it can even be that you like volunteering.
