customer/ client contact- verbal and written communication. managing tasks and passing information. Create diaries for the handlers for different department. Helping colleagues-new hires.
yes some but i was told i will gain experience for different departments as ive applied for a business admin apprenticeship but that just simply not been done.
I enjoy it but we are not given enough time for our apprentice. 4 hours a week is nothing. I have gotten the chance of learning new skills within the role and have worked so far very smoothly into developing the existing skills as well.
It is not very organised as apprentice times change sometimes which can been quite tough to adapt however, you get used to it. being someone who is more focussed studying in a quite environment when the times change, then it's hard to get a room booked because, I didn't have much time to pre-book the hot offices and they are all full now.
I have been supported well however, sometimes I did struggle a lot to finish some tasks on time due to my manager not being free.
my training provider has been really helpful with the new syllabus. i can understand the tasks well and have gotten help from them through email and they are quick to respond. which helps me finish the tasks with great quality.
my education does not align very much with the role i have been given in the company. As an admin i should have a basic knowledge of different departments in the DRU. However, i have been unable to have that experience, so far i have only worked in support.
there are some events to go and join however, we do not get introduced to them very well and some of the meetings you can not attend due to work being very busy.
Yes
I would recommend it here because, some staff have been really supporting and understanding towards me they have helped a lot with my work, apprentice and much more.
- make your demands clear. - good communication skills. - do not bring work into your home life. - balanced and healthy diet- HAVE BREAKFAST! it definitely has an effect on your day-to-day work life.
