  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • As an Apprentice Site Manager for the Berkeley St. Edward, I oversee a wide range of tasks. My daily responsibilities mostly consist of programming in works, overseeing trades, inspecting and documenting finished works, health and safety, snagging, and commissioning. I have scheduled in works for every build step, including façade, internal fit out, finishing, and commissioning, as part of my job I've been collaborating closely with several site managers, senior managers and directors to increase my understanding of particular areas of construction and all departments within Berkeley to address any problems that may arise on site. I work closely with the technical, commercial, customer service, and sales and marketing departments in my capacity to address issues and make sure the homes are finished on schedule and to the necessary standards. As part of my job, I oversee the subcontractors working on the project to make sure they are completing works on schedule and to the necessary standards. I make sure that everyone's health and safety are the top priorities on the job site and that everything is done as safely as possible.
