  • My week consists of 2 days in the AMTC completing assignments and 3 days in the copper box doing practical/theory work.

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • Yes, i have learnt the basics of hand fitting, welding, electrical, health and safety, maths, and some design work.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I enjoy the subjects i am being taught however the large quantity of work puts stress on me which limits my enjoyment.

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • Not very, i often find myself looking for classrooms, having to continue my work from home and feel there isn’t much communication with my employer and learning provider.

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • Not much, as an apprentice who is at college full time, i don’t feel in touch with the buisness and think it is very separated from the buisness.

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • Most of the tutors are very helpful and often try their hardest to help you excel in your work, however some are not specifically qualified in the field they are teaching and struggle to give us the correct teaching.

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • The course i am doing helps me understand a multitude of trades so when i come to working with/alongside them, i have a better understanding and can communicate better.

  • No, other than enrichment i.e. litter picking.

  • Yes

  • It is a great business with good prospects for the future.

  • Work efficiently so you have time to meet deadlines and complete all your work.
