My role is to aid my pursuits team in any resources that they need to complete a tender, this ranges from sources CV's and team sheets to proofreading. A day to day role includes looking after the pipeline and maintenance tracker reports.
I've developed skills such as my time management to work in a fast paced environment, my communication skills in terms of email etiquette. My team will always suggest new opportunities Kennedys have and so develop my confidence in volunteering for different schemes.
I love the current programme I have the flexibility to chose which modules I do to align with any projects happening at work. My team are supportive with making sure I feel like I am on top of my studying and always work around my study day.
My programme is very well structured I completed my core modules with regular lessons each month and now have the flexibility of choosing my models whilst still maintaining the consistency. The structure of tasks makes it manageable to complete on time and vary in time needed for each task.
My employer is very supportive we have a regular meeting about how I'm managing within the business but also with my studies always suggesting new ideas to log off the job hours. My team are very helpful with working around my study day and keeping me informed of anything I might've missed that day.
I mostly talk with my tutor when in learning once a month but she always emphasises that if I need any support to contact her.
I feel like my training provides a greater understanding at what I'm doing to explain it, but most of my work is learned from experience it and practice.
There are plenty of social events, there is monthly office socials, BD&M socials in an external space as well as emails about netball and football clubs that take place. Most networking events are circulated to everyone and you can individually choose what you attend.
Yes
Kennedys have been a very welcoming environment encouraging both professional growth and personal growth, within a short amount of time I felt apart of the team and Kennedys culture due to everyone's friendly behaviour. I feel well supported and have opportunities to talk with not only my BD team but partners and lawyers to share experiences and knowledge.
My advice would be to make sure you align with Kennedys key values, being your own authentic self is important and welcomed for varying perspectives but we all work towards the same goal and behaviours.
