Wide variety of roles over the 5 years programme, providing finance support and knowledge on project finance as well as reporting and governance roles within the Air Business
Accounting skills developed through CIMA. Networking skills developed through F2F engagement with peers and senior leadership
Some roles are better than others, overall enjoyable with one bad role across the 5 years
Clear structure but exit roles was not clearly defined at start of programme and isn't good relative to other similar schemes
As much as required
As much as is required, i rarely use it
enables me to apply for more senior roles later in career. There is very little real world application to the CIMA programme
Many peer networking events and social activities both as part of and related ot the scheme
Yes
Good salary and learning provided, many different roles and with role switching encouraged, even if you don't like the current role, you will find one you do like. I would not recommend the Apprenticeship route into finance, however.
Be interested in the product and reach out and make as many connections as possible; It's a massive business and there's always something new appears, a large network is one of the biggest assets.
