Managing project management processes for engineers and designers such as schedule development and management, budget management and risk management to enable them to develop a design for a product.
Prior to my apprenticeship I had limited project management knowledge so I have developed a comprehensive understanding of all project management processes, such as developing business cases, developing schedules, monitoring and reporting project progress.
I thoroughly enjoy the programme that I am on because I have the opportunity to learn theory at university and then apply it through placements within the organisation I work for.
For the most part, it is well organised however there have been last minute changes made throughout the programme which could have been communicated better to the apprentices.
My employer is very supportive and have put us through additional professional body qualifications to supplement our learning.
I receive a great level of support such as time to complete university and qualification studies within my working week.
I feel that my qualification is directly applicable to the role I am in.
There is a very wide range of stretch activities and extracurriculars that I have had the opportunity to get involved with, such as additional stretch projects and networking events.
