I am involved in a lot of stakeholder engagement, contract management, and mostly in the build environment which I enjoy, as I get to learn a lot in these places.
Yes, i have developed in many areas, too many to list but some are : Stakeholder Management, Leadership, Project Quality & understanding the business environment
The university modules are okay, sometimes the delivery can be dull and hard to focus on, but being able to apply it in placements is helpful for learning. the business also provide support for us as apprentices to be able to learn and develop
Sometimes it can be hard to put it into practice when they don't know how we operate as a business, due to security reasons, as they can't deliver to suit exactly how BAE do things. But being able to adapt the knowledge learn from university is a good skill to have.
the apprenticeship council try to encourage these although i have never been on one
Yes
they offer great support whilst providing you with a scheme that not only gives you great foundations for a career, but also without the cost of going to university.
be open and honest about yourself and you will likely be successful in application, as well as in your new role
