  • My role is a pipe fitter/fabricator and it involves working to isometric drawings to produce pipes or fit pipes for certain system within the boat

  • I have learned loads of new skills on how to use hand tools, I have also learnt how to bend and form pipework assemblies, I have learnt how thread, and weld pipework also.

  • The college side of the programme has been awful, very poorly structured throughout, no tutors for at least 2 lessons and tutors not following the curriculum

  • I feel the support I've received has been very poor especially the support I've received for my mental health

  • The support is okay, could be better though, as you are expected to just pick up what you are doing straight away
