My day-to-day role involves developing (coding) software solutions for testing products on the Manufacturing line. Alongside this, I support colleagues in code reviews, writing and reviewing release documentation etc.
During my time on the apprenticeship, I have learnt a staggering amount of skills. For example - - Programming (C, C++, C#, LabVIEW, Java etc). - Problem Solving - Communications - Time Management = Planning
I have thoroughly enjoyed the programme. Being able to learn something new everyday, work with highly experienced Engineers and make a real difference to MBDA.
The programme is organised and structured really well.
I receive endless support from MBDA whether that is support with my studies at University or in work. For example - - MBDA provides a budget for apprentices to buy books for studying, online courses (Udemy Business). - MBDA provides apprentices with 5-day study leave on-top of annual leave. This is a great incentive because it allows me to study for upcoming exams and/or assignments at University without having to take annual leave. - MBDA offers various sessions on Mental Health and Wellbeing.
Yes
I would highly recommend MBDA to anyone because MBDA really care about their employees.
I would suggest doing research on MBDA to learn about what they do and their company values and consider how you align with them as this will be important for the interview process.
