Within my role I work within the Future Careers Team and I lead on Level 3 and 4 apprentices and anywhere between between level 3 and 7 with exiting employee apprenticeships.
Confidence, ownership and presenting skills are massively important and skills I have really developed within my role. Small things such as writing an professional email to communication with senior people.
I love my programme from the internal to the external support with uni and work based learning tutors it is endless. The content is fun and within my job I have been given such great responsibility I have learned endless amounts of knowledge.
My programme is extremely well structured within the intense uni weeks to get all constant and support all in one than a stop start learning approach with many follow up days after to keep that support. In addition my job gives me one day study day to support my learning. The structure is done very well.
Unilever is amazing in terms of support with my apprenticeship and my mental wellbeing in general. They give constant support with line managers and the Future Careers team. They have an inbox that has quick and responsive services.
The training provider applies 10 week tripartite meetings with a work based learning tutor and my line manager to keep everyone aligned and happy with the progression of myself. They always constantly remind the support networks that are available to me and help to set me up for success.
My qualification definitely helps towards my role due to the content and model's being so relevant to my job especially the HR and finance models it really correlates to my job.
Lots of social events, from netball and football teams to a company marathon walk and a football office v office at a stadium. There are many opportunities to network especially with the Future careers team organising them for us.
Yes
The work culture is amazing it is such a friendly and helpful place to work and be. I constantly feel psychological safe in my environments and feel a real need from everyone that they want me to succeed and progress.
Just be yourself, I feel like that goes a long way at Unilever as well as making sure your personal values and beliefs match with the company's.
