In my current rotation, my role involves supporting the inbox, creating a newsletter, contacting clients, case management and supporting with project work.
I have grown my knowledge of the payments industry and gained an insight into different areas of the business. I have gained skills using a plethora of programs and software such as PowerBi and Excel.
I really enjoy the programme and I am happy with my decision to undertake a degree apprenticeship. Visa is a great company with lovely people and amazing opportunities.
My programme is very well organised and structured to allow us to be successful in our roles and future careers. We have 4 days working and 1 study day which supports our studies,
I feel really supported by my employer. I can ask for help from the Early Careers team if I have any issues and they regularly stay in contact with us.
Our training provider supports us well, with the monthly sessions with our tutor, as well as workshops. However, it can be difficult at times to balance work and studying.
I think the qualification is helpful at developing your life skills and get a deeper high level understanding of your role. I have been able to transfer some of my knowledge from my degree into my role. However, I wish i could do that to a greater extent.
There are activities to get involved in. For example, Visa has ERGs which are Employee Resource Groups that focus on a particular area of interest e.g. Women In Business. It is easy to get involved with charity work and social events.
Yes
Visa is a good employer. The people are lovely. The work feels rewarding and you are given a lot of responsibility and trust, even at a more junior level. The business offers good benefits and pay. Overall, there is a good work culture and environment.
Bring your authentic self to the interview. The interview is about who you are as a person, not how much you can memorise the business's website.
