Working with Project Managers, ensuring that projects are running to cost and schedule. As well as assisting in other admin roles within my team.
Yes, I have learnt new Microsoft softwares, as well as other software that is key to my role.
I like learning new things and developing my knowledge further
Within QinetiQ, the structure and organisation is good. They create opportunities in Early Careers to develop skills and learn and experience different areas of the business. The first year so far, with LSP and 20/20, has been dis-jointed. No regular reviews from LSP, and been a delay in waiting for assignment results from 20/20
I get plenty of support from my employer. I am allowed time away from my day-to-day work to complete my studies, and no-one from my team disturbs me. The opportunities from Early Careers for volunteering and other areas of the business give good potential to expand
Very minimal. My tutor has been on sick leave, so I have missed a number of reviews. A change in system for tracking apprenticeship has been poor, and none of the work I have done has transferred over to the new system
At this moment in time, I feel it has had minimal impact on better performing in my role, as the course is very generic, where there are multiple areas to project controls. This has meant some assignments have been difficult to complete as they are based on an area that I will not be dealing with on a day-to-day basis.
QinetiQ have Cortex for any new employee for the first 3 years that they are with the company. This team sets up social events for all new starters on a site to get to together. Also they have a Personal Development Fund which can be spent however we wish to further develop our skills, which includes attending conferences and expo's
Yes
The flexibility in being able to work from home, or in office is nice. As well as the Early Careers opportunities.
Just go for it.
