Personal care being offered to people we support. Preparing meals. Helping in their daily household. Administer medication.Accompany them to their appointments and day trips. Do their shopping and book appointments for them.Do creative activities such as cooking sessions, doing gardening and art activities including doing puzzles with them .
I have learnt new skills such as leadership skills while I was leading the shift . I have also developed my existing skills, knowledge and experience working with other professionals and colleagues. I’m currently learning and developing new skills such as IT skills while I am working hard doing my apprenticeship.
I’m I enjoying my programme because it is reminding me and developing my knowledge in Mathematics and English as well. Also I am learning about policies and procedures and new regulations about my new role.
I’m programme is very well organised and I have enough time to work on it and if I am struggling I know that my tutor is more than happy to help me understand a correct way to do the work loads.in addition, I have lots of support to research for my work.
I have lots of support from my employer and my manager including my senior and colleagues to have enough time to get through my work and learning. My manager and seniors encourage me by allowing me to work alongside them to learn new skills and ways of working together.
I receive lots of support such as suggestions for websites and training, group workshops and one to one workshop from my training provider when working towards my qualifications . I also have the opportunity to email my tutor if I need extra support to understand more and get clear ideas about the subject .
I feel that my qualifications through my training provider will help me achieve my goals and to be able to do the best for the company by working hard and implement the knowledge, skills and experience that I have gained during the apprenticeship and this will help me perform better in my new role.
