My daily tasks are connected to the production area of the restaurant - prepping, cooking, assembling sandwiches; training staff on procedures; food safety and quality checks.
I gained deeper understanding of hospitality and UK food industry laws; I appreciate insights on how well-being is important to team's performance and how to motive team members and help them with their career development.
All modules in my programme are tailored to my job role and being able to use the skills and knowledge in everyday work situations has brought fondness in further learning.
My programme is structured meticulously and all information is accessible whenever needed.
My employer supports me because they are aware that my progress will bring advantage to our restaurant.
I have regular sessions and check-ins with my training provider. I especially appreciate their responsiveness when I 'hit a bump' on the road.
I feel confident in my role and that confidence is a key factor not only in my own performance but I am also able to support my team mates and be there for them when they need me.
There is a range of activities to participate, e.g. football cup, pool cup, charity events, etc.
