Starting the day by meeting with my supervisor to see what the plan is for the day. After, doing a plant room check throughout the building. Then meet with a colleague and complete a few reactives and PPMs
I have learned many new skills in all different aspects of engineering, including electrical, mechanical, plumbing, air conditioning and BMS. I have learnt social skills and how to make the client happy.
I enjoy the apprenticeship scheme highly. Its a major change from being in school but I don't mind it because I enjoy being more hands on and problem solving.
I think the programme is well thought. They have frequent check ins with the person that handles the next generation apprentices. They make sure that everything is handled well and it is all ok at work and at home.
I receive all types of support from my employer. They offer me physical support in helping me in certain tasks throughout the day. They give me emotional support by praising me if I performed well on a task. They also don't mind assigning you on training courses so you can develop your skills.
I receive loads of support. They can give me advice and also guide me along the way. They feel comfortable telling me the area I need to improve in and also the areas where I am doing well.
I think my qualifictaion helps me massively.
I think they offer extra-curricular events but I don't hear much about them, I was invited to a CBRE divisional day for my account which was great to meet new people and learn.
Yes
I think its a great way that they treat you and they keep in touch to make sure everything is going okay.
It doesnt matter too much on your grades that you got in your gcses as long as you show that you are willing to work and have a good personality you will do fine.
