Designing kitchens, bathrooms and home office's, and selling them to customers. Listening to customers wants and needs, while advising products that best suit the customer and practicability. Overseeing and managing multiple customers projects at one time, being organised and communicate openly.
Absolutely. My confidence has grown massively, communication skills and my creativity.
Was a very enjoyable programme. I personally did not feel overwhelmed with the workload, as long as I was given enough time to complete tasks. It helped me enter the new job role gently, which I believe helped to shape me into the Design Consultant I am.
Many of the webinars were booked in advance for us to work around which was good, there was a hand full of times webinars were cancelled last minute or re-scheduled.
Was given time to complete the apprenticeship work and tasks, while still learning on the job.
Always offered help when needed, always checked up on and made sure we were all on track.
It gave me more time to learn about the job, products and procedures, setting me up for a more successful start to the job.
There are professional networking events held more regularly for the showroom departments of Wickes.
