  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • For my apprentice I must complete all practical and written work that is necessary these include questions and tests to test my knowledge, and the practical being products to make. throughout the apprenticeship i have been taught everything I need to know so far.

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • I have developed my skills, by being able to accurately read a drawing and reference it to make a finished product. Also I have learnt many key skills requires for the role I am in, including welding, shaping, rolling, drilling, cutting, and creating final products out of metal.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I am thoroughly enjoying this program so far, i have learnt many things and am always exited to know what is next for the apprenticeship.

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • The structure of the program is good, everything is set out well with due deadlines and set times for learning and breaks, etc.

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • I receive plenty of support from my employer ensuring I am happy with what I am doing at all times, and making sure anything that I may need is provided or fixed as soon as.

  • My training provided provides me with plenty of support helping me get the qualifications I deserve

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • I feel that due to the good learning and experience I am receiving from my training provider, Iam doing much better at both practical and theory

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • There are plenty of experiences I am entitled to including tours and trips to other places and other networking events I can help out at if I wish to do so.

  • Yes


  • 9b. Why?
  • It is a brilliant place to work where you can meet plenty of new people, and even swap roles inside the business if you wanted to.


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to BAE Systems?
  • Apply for any work experience available to have a feel for the job before you apply to find out if it is the job for you.
