  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • In our apprenticeship we are given the opportunity to move around the business, our first team was the fleet team dealing with corporate accounts. We are now on the reservations team, working with retail customers.

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • I have learnt a lot about the role in which each department plays in the success of a company. As well as being able to put my college learning directly into practice.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I am enjoying the opportunities in which this programme is giving me, i enjoy the learning about the way the departments all work together behind the scenes. Analysing the way in which the actions of a team influence the entire company.

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • The college and company work together to organise learning opportunities and tasks to demonstrate behaviours and increase out learning. The college visits the work place approximately every 3 months and supports our learning along side our supervisors who set tasks that align with the college topic.

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • Our employers work closely to help use work based examples to incorporate with the coursework and lecture topics.

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • Our training provider visits the work place regularly and we have ability to contact them at any time, they support the employers and contact us with the lecture topic and help with the coursework aspect.

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • I believe that the qualification helps us to perform better in the role as we demonstrate the things learnt and evaluate the way our role affects the business.

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • We have been given multiple opportunities to network with level 3s in the business, learning from department heads. There are also events such as a charity football match.

  • Yes

  • The opportunity is amazing and has helped me develop my career and knowledge.

  • Be yourself, this company encourages all employees to be themselves and working hard is the only way to succeed.
