I carry out BAU/Projects and get involved in stretch assignments within the business to build my competences. My day to day role varies, depending on my placement
I have developed leadership, confidence, learnt roles in procurement and risk management. I work collaboratively everyday which is a skill i have built upon from my previous roles.
The university side is the most unorganised thing about this apprenticeship, BAE as a whole is great and very structured however the degree alongside is not at all what i expected and we are being used as guinea pigs which is effecting my learning.
We are told many different things when it comes to assignments, there is one tutor in particular called Matt who has helped me and my cohort massively when working towards are degree, he is very transparent and helpful. However from others we receive mixed messages and our marks 'depend on their mood' as we have been told previously
I feel learn more from doing the job and learning within my role, i do to some extent think it helps with background knowledge
Yes
BAE is a great place to work, the amount of opportunities that have arisen since i have been employed within the business is insane and they look after their apprentices and have their best interests at heart.
Experience! get experience and examples of how you have reach certain competencies before you get to your interview, being able to show team work, collaboration, personal & professional responsibility and so forth really helps within the interview process but also within your role
