I work within the Strategic Resourcing team, this is part of the HR function and we look at how we strategically hire managers within the business to ensure we have the right people in the right roles while adhering to our EDI KPI’s .
I have gained a great understanding of strategy and what a strategy looks like, how to implement one and the proactive steps taken to continue the development of one. I also have gained a good understanding of technological advances and how this supports the business function.
I enjoy my programme greatly, I have been given so many opportunities to progress professionally and personally. I enjoy coming to work and feel proud to be a part of British Airways.
The programme is structured well but there have been some hiccups along the way as this is the first time my programme has been run in my organisation.
My employer and especially my apprentice manager supports me massively and has been crucial in my development.
They are always on hand to support when asked and provide extra training and upskilling where needed.
I feel I have a better understanding of core business areas and this helps me to perform in my role by understanding terminologies etc..
We support our charity, Flying Start. This gives us the chance to get involved with activities to raise money and also plan our own fundraising events.

Be yourself and do your research on the airline. Really show the interviewer why you want to work for BA and what you will bring to the business as a unique individual.
