I regularly look at the statements from suppliers and check if we have all the invoices to process. I also look at and create some of the reconciliations on the accounts so that we can look into differences and keep the accounts in order
The main skills that have been improving are my teamworking and problem solving skills as I have been shown the work that they do and then take on some of that work myself. I then need to liaise with them on work and ensure it is correct.
I do enjoy the work as it is straightforward to understand and complete. This also helps the learning of the theory and terminology as it is interesting to know and easy to learn.
The training provider has a clear roadmap set out that you can find regarding all parts of the apprenticeship, but they could be more transparent on where the information is and how it pertains to you in the beginning of the course.
So far I have received as much support as I have needed from the employer regarding help, time for studying and extra internal support structures that I can use.
I have all of the necessary tools to help myself from the training provider and they have also helped point me in the direction of other help sources when needed.
It will allow me to gain an understanding of the information that I am going through on a daily basis and will allow my understanding of other areas of work that I do not interact with currently.
There are many professional networking events that take place that I can join and learn from, regarding how to use business systems or learning about general working life.

They are a good company that do look out for their apprentices and graduates and try to provide the best place for them to grow while learning as well as getting them used to the working world.
Understand tarmacs mission and the role that the position you are applying for takes in the business. Know the information required for the role that you are applying for so that you understand as much as possible about what you are going to be working on as well.
