My day-to-day role is to support the department that I am currently rotating through. I learn the roles and responsibilities of the department.
My inter-personal communication skills have developed over the years. I have learnt new skills using 3D design software, developed project management skills.
I do very much enjoy the program, the constant learning opportunities and the support in gaining a reputable qualification is definitely a key factor.
The programme is relatively well organized and structured, with a clear structure for where each apprentice should be. A skills matrix has helped to guide what should be learnt during the rotation and how it can be applied to the final EPA.
My employer offers as much support as possible. Mentors from each department advise and guide when asked. Line managers frequently offer support through documents like skills matrices and 1-1 meetings.
Tutors and lecturers offer support through feedback on assignments and questions throughout class.
Whilst not every aspect of the qualification is directly applicable to my job role, it will still be useful for my future development. Assignment writing can aide in formal document writing styles, and the maths can be applicable for more complex roles involving simulations.
