running shifts, ensuring health and safety is followed, ensuring accurate orders and excellent customer service, supervising and supporting staff, managing cash, checking and managing inventory, and sales management
yes, how the planning for the business works, different leadership styles, stock control methods, how to attract and cater to meet customer needs, the importance of a brand's image, and brand standards.
I really enjoy the programme, my tutor is always there to help and it makes it a lot more enjoyable when I have someone who is able to explain and put it into context any questions I am struggling with.
the programme is for the most part well organised and well structured the only issue I have had is in regards to the dyslexia program and that it was either very wordy or not very helpful and at time felt patronising
| I receive a fare bit of support from my employer they are always there to help me learn new things and provide information to contextualise things, but sometimes struggle with a balance in terms of time to do my apprenticeship and what I need to do outside of it for the store.
I receive a lot of support from my trainer, she is always able to help me understand the subject, as well as ensuring that it is put into context that I will understand. Furthermore, she is always available if I need extra support or I am just struggling with one specific part.
I feel it has given me a better understanding of what goes into the running of the store, as well as a better way to go about leading and managing my team. It has also made it so that I can see that there is more than one way to get people on board with meeting KPIs as well as that not everyone responds to the same leadership style as others.
We do 2 crew events a year for everyone in the store, there is also McDonald's cup (but I have not taken part in this), as well as a walking challenge that is done yearly where all the stores compete against each other to see who can do more steps
Yes
You get all the training you need, there are a lot of opportunities to grow and develop yourself, and you have a lot of different career paths that you could go down, training, people services, other secomdants, etc.
It is not as easy as you may think, to do well at the job you have to put effort in and help to push the store and meet targets.
