  • I am an assembly line apprentice which means I learn different work packages on the line and also go on placements in different departments

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • I've learnt to work to a Takt time and follow work processes. I've also learnt continuous improvement methods and principles to help improve processes and working areas to make them more efficient.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • As a whole i feel like i have enjoyed the programme so far as i've learnt new skills and experienced a variety of departments.

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • I feel like there is a slight lack of organisation and structure as we dont find out until late notice what is happening with things like non-lauch days/weeks. I also don't get the impression that there is much communication between apprentice managers and department managers as department managers are often unaware of mandatory apprentice activities

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • lots of support is provided by managers, for example if i have a question about something they are usually good at getting back to me with an answer

  • the college tutors are really good at helping us with our work and being able to go into depth whats required of us with our assessments

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • The college course is fairly tailored to rolls royce as lots of terms used at work, such as 5s, are further developed on in the course

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • There is apprentice social activities like going for a meal or going to the pub and there is also sports activities such as football and go karting.

  • Yes

  • Its an enjoyable way to get qualifications and work experience while also getting paid


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to BMW Group?
  • If you're interested and have a passion for rolls royce and the automotive industry then it's a good apprenticeship for you and when you apply make sure you show them those qualities.
