On a day to day basis i regularly carry out improvement activities around my area, this includes looking at certain parts that have been flagged and looking at the root cause of the problems. After identifying these, using a range of problem solving tools a few solutions are created and tested. results are gathered to see which improvement has the greatest effect on improving workflow.
I have been able to develop many different skills, for example using tools to cut and measure accurately. this is a skill i have developed in order to improve the overall quality of the work that i can produce. working in a team has been developed as working with new and different people daily is a regular occurence
The program is very enjoyable, lots of extra curricular opportunities for apprentices to participate in to get the business out there and to advertise all about the future talent that is available within the company
The program is very well organised, you are tol well in advance of projects and where you are required to be
employers are supportive of apprentices, offer various methods to support everyone individually throughout the program
we receive lots of support from the training provider, this can be with the work side of the apprenticeship qualifications or the learning side of the apprenticeships. support is always available and no matter what issues or questions you need support with a solution is always put in place or worked towards
