  • I am a quality control leader that manages a team of 3 deputy managers and 6 assistants. Our daily duties consist of checking over 4000 lines with the fresh side of the business to ensure the best quality is delivered to stores and for our customers.

  • Within the learning I felt there was some practical application in which I could relate to my current role.

  • I did enjoy learning the theory behind management techniques and all the topics did relate to my role in some capacity

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • Lifetime changed the operational system to a program called Aptem where all the course work and resources were available and was very user friendly.

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • My manager was very supportive throughout my apprenticeship and checked in regularly.

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • I experienced a little wobble as I did change Lifetime team members 2 months in, and I very much connected with my first as I was able to open about my challenges in completing the apprenticeship and they offered great support.

  • It helped me overcome some challenges and I have grown in confidence with this experience.

  • Yes

  • I have been in the business for 15 years and I have seen many changes, I feel that Aldi is changing with the times by offering opportunities like the Modern apprenticeship to improve professional development.


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Aldi?
  • Be yourself, Do your research– Make sure you know about the company and be prepared– Have a few questions ready to ask at the end about the job you are applying for.
